Holland America’s incredibly comfortable Westerdam ship and crew took us to places in Southern Alaska where there are often no roads – just lots of bald eagles and other wildlife, melting glaciers, Russian heritage…and the ever-present diamond jewelry retail shops. Some of our favorite stops were the Alaska Raptor Center in Sitka, the Misty Fjords wilderness area outside Ketchikan, a Native American longhouse in Juneau, and the Russian Orthodox Church in Sitka. Enjoy!
