About Me

I am a photographer and a marketing strategist. I have been a resident of San Francisco’s Hayes Valley way before it became a trendy neighborhood, where I  live with my wife Jen, a playwright and a teacher, and my son Cooper. My photography spans 3 decades – from street photography of my native Prague, to the more recent work in weddings (which I’ve been shooting since 2002), portraits and editorial/lifestyle photography…

My list of clients include Wired News, National Geographic, TrustE, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Hathaway PR, Shanti, SolaRover, Pear and Pepper Catering, Taste Catering, Urban Daddy, Oxenrose Salon and other private and institutional clients. My images have been published in Fortune, The San Francisco Chronicle, 7×7, and San Francisco Magazine, among others. I am a past winner of 7×7’s “Bring on the Night” photography competition (2007).

Aside from having an eye for composition, I have an analytical mind and a passion for art, popular culture and consumer habits. I have an MBA in Marketing/Brand Management from San Francisco State University (2003). Previously I worked as a Director of Marketing for Orange Photography (a full-service photography agency). I always look for synergies between business and photography. Recently this lead me to a concept of  creation of private stock libraries for corporate clients. I am also currently looking for the right fit to shoot an annual report for a client (or two) with a fun concept…
